"Ang sa akin lang, if you look at her life, yung mga tao ngang malalapit sa kanya di niya kasundo, ano pa kaya yung hindi masyadong malapit sa kanya."
These were the fighting words of Kapuso talent Pauleen Luna during her exclusive interview with GMA-7's Startalk aired yesterday, June 19. The statement was Pauleen's reaction to the controversy pitting her against Cristine Reyes.
Late last year, Pauleen's name was dragged into the supposed rift between Cristine and Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista. According to reports, Cristine allegedly sent malicious text messages to Heart because of the latter's presumed closeness to Cristine's ex-boyfriend Dennis Trillo. Heart and Dennis worked together in the now defunct Sunday program SOP and starred in Mano Po 6.
"Sinabi niya [Cristine] na it was me texting Heart using her name," Pauleen told Startalk. "I didn't really wanna talk about this. If I want war, if I want publicity, last year ko pa 'to nilabas."
But why are they quarreling over Dennis Trillo?
"Nadadamay ang name ni Dennis kasi lahat ng nali-link kay Dennis, nagkakaroon ng rift with Cristine," Pauleen answered Startalk host Lolit Solis. "Dennis doesn't have anything to do with this at all."
NAME-CALLING. In the same no-holds barred interview, Pauleen said, "I heard sinabi niya [Cristine] na tigilan ko na siya, but it's the other way around. I just talked to P-Chi [Rufa Mae Quinto] and I confirmed that Cristine texted her that she called me a different name." As to what name this was, Pauleen declined to say.
"Ang sa akin lang, this is me. If I am mad, I'm mad. If I'm hurt, I'm hurt."
Is she mad or hurt? asked host Butch Francisco.
"I'm hurt," Pauleen replied. "If I was mad, I was mad last year. But now I'm hurt. 'Cause she was my friend. Hindi ako makikipag-away sa isang babae para lang sa isang lalaki.
"Sinasabi niyang tigilan ko na siya," she further stated. "Tigilan na niya ako."
