Around same time in 2006, a team was meeting every Wednesday to monitor the progress of what was dubbed as "PEP project." What we had then were floating ideas and wireframes. What if we launch a Breaking News section? What if we include a space for comments? What if we post lotsa pictures?
It took us two months before we could launch the Beta site, and two more months before we could hit one million page views!
Fast forward to 2010, www.pep.ph has already undergone four revamps in terms of look. The most recent one was a product of our one-day session at One Tagaytay Place last June 25.
Upon the initiative of our web designer Mark Edward Pimentel—with the help of Rachel Ti, Yas Salanga, Joe Isleta, Nat Clave, and Gabby Villegas—we're able to come up with what we hope is a "more dynamic and friendly site."
Check out PEP Alerts, which now allows you to comment about a scoop. News Rewind can sum up all items published about your idol in just one click.
Visit the improved Features section, which is set to give you more up-close-and-personal interviews with your favorite stars. "This Week In Photos" aims to recapture the you-shouldn't-have-missed scenes in showbiz.
The Celeb Style will have more about the expensive bags, dresses, accessories, and other things that make the life of the rich and famous more colorful! Plus, we now have a Wall for your upcoming events.
Don't miss the "Up Next" in Guide. It will serve as a teaser for your must-watch TV shows, movies, and concerts. And to the Kabarkada, Kapamilya, Kapatid, Kapuso, and other Kas out there—the ratings now has a prominent position in the section.
Of course, Breaking News will not cease from giving you the hottest and freshest issues. And Galleries, Videos, and Podcasts will have more new items daily!
A lot of changes, and still, a lot of surprises to come.
Thank you for making www.pep.ph a part of your daily life. That fact gives us the energy to work harder and harder 24/7.
