October 2011 is perhaps one of the most memorable months for actress Bea Alonzo.

It was the first time she celebrated her birthday with a grand bash.

She held an event dubbed BEHOLD, 10 Years of Brilliance, 24 Years of Wonder on October 8 at The Establishment in The Fort.

It was a successful, star-studded occasion attended by her family and showbiz friends.

A few days after, she went on a trip abroad with her new boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo.

The 24-year-old actress told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in a previous interview how much she wanted to go sight-seeing in South Korea and feel the cold autumn breeze, which we never get to experience here in the Philippines.

"Gusto kong makita ang mga parks na pinapakita sa Koreanovela. At tamang-tama, fall sa Korea," she intoned.

They couple flew out of the country together with two friends just days after her birthday press conference on October 13, where she publicly admitted her relationship with Zanjoe.

Bea said she planned the whole thing beforehand, but it was Zanjoe who took care of all the reservations, flight details, and itineraries.

Among the places they visited was the Gyeongbokgung Palace located in central Seoul's Jongno-gu district.

The centuries-old compound used to be the home of the Korean imperial family.

Today, it houses the famous National Folk Museum of Korea and is known to many Koreanovela fans as the backdrop of the popular series Dae Jang Geum or Jewel in the Palace.

Bea admired how much everything looked so beautiful and surreal when she finally got to see the restored palace buildings up close.

The intricate details of Korean design and architecture were just simply astounding, she added.

The fashionista inside her also enjoyed dressing up for the cooler weather.

For most of the trip, she wore a thick wool trench coat over a layer of long-sleeved shirts and sweaters.

She also had a scarf handy just in case the wind blew a little colder.

Zanjoe also donned a similarly layered outfit and added a beret for a touch of masculine chic.

The couple had a grand time exploring the Korean metropolis; their digital cameras brimming with thousands of memorable photos they've already shared to their families and close showbiz friends.

Although the locale turned out to be a dream come true and lived up to Bea's expectations, she's already spinning her miniature globe, trying to put her finger on her next dream destination for the coming year.
