Filipino Azkals Football team members Phil and James Younghusband just signed a three-year exclusive contract with TV5, today, November 10.
Their press conference was held a few minutes after their contract signing with the Kapatid Network at the Masas Restaurant in Greenbelt 2, Makati.
During the presscon, Phil, 24, and James, 25, were introduced by TV5's AKTV sports manager Vito Lazatin as AKTV's Football Ambassadors.
AKTV is the former IBC-13 network, which is now TV5's sports channel.
The Younghusband brothers will be hosting a series of short segments where they will teach football basics and also provide nutrition, diet, and workout tips.
After answering questions from the sports press, the Younghusbands also gamely answered questions thrown in by the entertainment press.
PHIL ON ANGEL. Phil, being the more showbiz-oriented personality between the two, was immediately interviewed by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the showbiz press.
PEP asked Phil about the status of his relationship with rumored girlfriend, actress Angel Locsin.
He said: "We're happy. We're very happy...
"We're enjoyin' each other's company.
"I wanna spend as much time with Angel as possible.
"And for us—status or what we call our relationship, it doesn't matter to us.
"We're happy with the way it's goin' and we're just very, very happy."
Hoping to get a straight and serious answer, PEP asked Phil if he and Angel are just having fun hanging out with each other.
The Azkals forward and Loyola Meralco Sparks Futbol Club midfielder turned more serious.
"No. It's not fun. I'm serious about Angel," he clarified.
"And I... I want to have a future with Angel.
"And the way it's going, it feels like the first day I met her, every day.
"So, I'm enjoying. I'm enjoying being with her," said Phil as he smiled again after saying how Angel makes him feel.
The hunk football player also mentioned how Angel continues to influence him.
"She teaches me Tagalog, she teaches me Tagalog songs and things like that.
"I learn a lot from Angel.
"She's very down-to-earth and she's so human.
"Very caring and very civil.
"She's one of the most amazing people I ever met."
Has he taught Angel how to play football?
"I hope to teach her in the future, but... marami siyang ginagawa.
"She's very busy. She has a new movie coming up.
"So, when we have time, I'd like to teach her," Phil said, his handsome face beaming.
