PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) cornered heartthrob Sam Milby just before he left the birthday party of Ogie Diaz at the MDC Bar in Greenhills, San Juan, held recently.
After asking for updates in his life in showbiz, PEP asked for his reaction to reports that Anne Curtis's new suitor is Erwin Genuino.
"I don't know. I mean, if they ever got together, I think.... I think they're just friends," said the 22-year-old actor/singer.
Reports have it that Erwin, who is the son of PAGCOR Chairman Efraim Genuino, is currently courting the young actress who stars with Sam in the ABS-CBN soap Maging Sino Ka Man. Other reports, however, say that Erwin is simply "using" Anne to gain popularity because, according to the reports, he is running for a congressional seat in Makati in the coming May election.
Sam said, "If they ever did happen to get together, I'd be happy for them. If they're happy and she's happy, you know."
Meanwhile, Sam clarified that there's nothing going on between him and Anne.
"We are really good friends. I just want her to be happy, of course," he said.
Sam was linked to Anne around the time they were to work together in Maging Sino Ka Man.
Anne's past boyfriends include Richard Gutierrez, Oyo Sotto, and Paolo Araneta. Sam Milby, on the hand, was linked to Chx Alcala and Say Alonzo—both his former housemates in Pinoy Big Brother—and, before Anne, to Toni Gonzaga.
