Ethel Booba, 29, and Janvier Daily, 21, have been a couple for the past four months already.
The sexy actress revealed this last Wednesday, October 10, at the premiere of Janvier's launching film RoXXXanne at the University of the Philippines Film Institute in Diliman, Quezon City.
When asked what she liked most about the young actor, Ethel said that she was smitten by his eyes. The actor who played Jonas in the digital film RoXXXanne was formerly known as Dodong in the musical play ZsaZsa Zaturnnah Da Musikal starring K Brosas.
Janvier, whose name is the French term for the month of January, tells PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) the story of their romance. "Nanood po ako one time sa show niya sa Punchline, kasama ang family ko. Tapos, pinaakyat niya ako sa stage then after nun, kuhanan ng number. Nangyari po ‘to this year, around June."
When asked if they are officially a couple, Janvier pauses for a while before answering. "Paano po ba ‘to? Nandun pa lang po kami sa ‘getting to know each other' stage," he says. "Wala naman po akong nakikitang mali kasi si [Ethel] ang impression [sa kanya] iba yung totoong pagkakatao niya sa personal na buhay."
What does he like most about Ethel? "Masayang kasama, makulit," he describes his girlfriend.
Janvier also explains his presence during the altercation that Ethel took part in last June 18. "Yung away sa bar hindi naman talaga ako dapat kasama dun. Nagkita kami dun, napaaway siya so as a friend, tutulungan ko po.
"Nangyari lang yun kasi sobrang bastos po ng mga babae. Kahit yung mommy niya [Ethel], fina-f*ck you [ng mga babae]. Natural lang na reaction ng anak na si Ethel. Sumama lang po ako sa presinto para tumestigo. Kahit kanino naman siguro nangyari yun, ‘pag kaibigan ko, tutulungan ko," says Janvier.
There are rumors circulating that Ethel will be going inside Big Brother's house for the upcoming Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition. "Ang alam ko nag-audition pero walang confirmation kung nakapasok siya," he admits.
"Okay lang po kung pumasok siya. Hindi naman ako yung klase ng tao na pigilan siya sa ganung opportunity. Di ba, opportunity yun, kumatok ulit so bakit naman pipigilan?"
Do they talk about Ethel's past boyfriends? "Never po kasi para po sa akin, past is past. Ayaw ko rin namang ungkatin pa ang nakaraan niya. Siguro, hindi na rin dapat pag-usapan ang mga ganung bagay." Janvier reveals that he has had five girlfriends in the past prior to his relationship with Ethel.
