Wala pa mang diretsahang pag-amin mula kina Gab Valenciano at Rachelle Ann Go, very obvious naman sa binitawang salita ng female singer na si Gab ang nagpapasaya sa mundo niya ngayon.

A relationship that started from friendship, then blossomed into something deeper and more special—sa itinatakbo ng lahat ay mukhang patag ang daang tinatahak ng relasyong Gab-Rachelle.

Kaya nagulat ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) nang sabihin ni Gab na may mga tao pala sa kanilang paligid na ayaw sa relasyon nila.

"It's very obvious that majority of the Filipino people are against the idea of the pair up between me and Rachelle Ann. But to be honest, that's what makes what we have exciting. It is unpredicatable. It's a you-and-me-against-the-world kind of situation and I love it.

"Think about it, kung lahat boto, you tend to lose the essence and value of taking an extra step or even a leap to be better, not for the people, not at all, but for each other. No matter what anyone says, or tries to do, the bond between Rachelle and I will never be shaken.

"Thousands of miles away may sound heavy. But then again, they're just miles, a mere unit of distance. What we have not just conquers distance, it surpasses time, wealth, sickness and yes, even death. Mahal ko siya and if anyone has a problem with that, oh, well..." deklara ni Gab nang makausap siya ng PEP sa ASAP '09 last Sunday, January 18.

Paano niya nalaman na may hindi pabor sa kanilang relasyon?

"I know a lot of people are against the idea of us being together...maybe fans," sabi ni Gab. "A lot of people tell me, ‘Gab, people don't like you for her.' Maybe they're not used to the idea na kami, kasi yung ex [Christian Bautista] niya is also a friend and matagal din sila. For me, as long as she's happy, happy na rin ako. No matter what anybody says, as long as Rachelle Ann Go is happy, Gab Valenciano will be happy as well."

FAMILY'S APPROVAL. Kinumpirma rin ni Gab na boto talaga ang pamilya niya—lalo ang mga magulang niya—kay Rachelle.

"For Rachelle kasi, for some reasons, my family, parang hindi sila kumontra. Kasi before sa mga past relationships ko, parang ayaw na ayaw, they will be tipong bibigyan muna nila ng four months na makilala. But this time, it's different.

"My dad [Gary Valenciano] has high respect for Rachelle as an artist and as a person. Before, pag nanonood kami ng dad ko ng TV, sinasabi ko sa kanya na favorite ko si Rachelle. And that time, wala pa, crush ko pa lang siya. Actually, crush na crush dati pa, even if I had a girlfriend.

"With my mom [Angeli Pangilinan] kasi, a lot of people misunderstood her because she is a [talent] manager. She's headstrong, straightforward, but she's a very sweet woman. Siyempre, as a mom, nagseselos siya every time I start dating somebody, nawawala ako sa bahay.

"My mom loves Rachelle! Akala ko hindi niya ito magugustuahn kasi showbiz. Sabi niya pag showbiz daw, mahirap. Pero na-surprise ako na nagustuhan niya," lahad ni Gab.

THE REAL SCORE. Nilagyan na rin ni Gab ng label ang totoong estado ng relasyon nila ni Rachelle.

"We're committed and kahit na sino pang babae ang pumunta sa akin, I don't care kung Miss Universe pa siya. Siguro even when I'm in the States, yung kuwarto ko puro pictures niya, may wallpaper sa studio.
