"Ngayon, I'm really keeping myself busy," said Pauleen Luna when asked about how she has been coping with the sudden end of her relationship with former Adik Sa'Yo co-actor Dennis Trillo.

The young actress reiterated that setting her priorities was one of the reasons she and Dennis had to discontinue their "special relationship."

"We're both busy," she told us after the press conference of Ikaw Sana last night, September 15, in Studio 6 of GMA-7 Network, Quezon City.

She continued, "Like what I've said on my previous interviews, mahirap kasi ipilit ang mga bagay, especially when you don't have time for it.  Sayang naman kasi, hindi naman ako palagi nabibigyan ng ganitong opportunity, ng ganitong role, na nakakasama sa show, na kaming tatlo nina Jennylyn [Mercado and Mark Herras].  So, I really grabbed the opportunity and ibibigay ko talaga lahat dito."

Pauleen was talking about her upcoming teleserye, Ikaw Sana. For his part, Dennis is set to work on a new soap and a movie.

Although the special relationship quickly ended, Pauleen believes that if fate would have them together again, it would still be possible. 

"Wala namang imposible," she said.  "But, like what I've said, as of now, gusto kong tumutok muna dito sa Ikaw Sana.  Siya din, I think may gagawin din siyang soap at movies.  So, focus na lang muna sa trabaho."

What about the rumor that her co-actor Mark Herras was one of the reasons her budding relationship with Dennis got nipped in the bud?

"Wala 'yon!" Pauleen exclaimed.  "Alam niyo, nagugulat nga ako kasi sinabi ko daw ganito. But I've only said my word in Startalk and Showbiz Central.  So, whatever that is written na hindi ako mismo ang nagsabi, it's not true. Kasi ang daming lumalabas na hindi naman talaga totoo.  Sinabi ko daw na weird siya that's why it didn't work out. Walang katotohanan 'yon kasi he's a great guy. It's just that wala lang talagang pagkakataon ngayon na ma-work out."

"HINDI NAMAN KAMI MAGKAAWAY." Pauleen is also happy that she and Dennis maintained their friendship. The last time they saw each other was when she paid her last respects to Jollybee "JB" Borbajo, who died by drownings while he and Dennis were vacationing in Boracay.

She narrated, "I was there to pay my respects to JB. Also at the same time, I was there to support him.  Kasi, right now, he's very weak and that's understandable. Ako naman, kaibigan ako, e, nandito lang ako. I'll always be here naman, e."

Pauleen expressed her sympathy for Dennis, whom she described as understandably quiet at the wake. 

The young actress said, "Ngayon, naawa ako because of what happened to him kasi medyo tragic ang nangyari.  You know, as much as possible kailangan niya ang suporta from family and friends. I'm just here.  Whenever he needs a friend, tawagin niya lang ako, and he knows that.  Hindi naman kami magkaaway."
