Dalawang TV shows sa dalawang networks napapanood ngayon si Ryan Agoncillo—ang talent show na Talentadong Pinoy sa TV5 at ang sitcom nila ng misis niyang si Judy Ann Santos na George & Cecil sa ABS-CBN.
Naitanong ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Ryan kung bukod sa TV shows ay may movies ba siyang ginagawa o gagawin pa lang?
"Movies, may dapat naka-lineup. If I'm not mistaken, I have two projects with Juday dapat. But with her schedule, mukhang hindi magagawa," sagot ni Ryan nang bisitahin namin siya sa taping ng Talentadong Pinoy last October 20.
Kapansin-pansin din na walang Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry this December sina Ryan at Juday. Nami-miss niya ba na magkaroon ng entry sa MMFF?
"Nami-miss? Oo at hindi. Oo, kasi for the past four years, yun na ang ginagawa ko. But now, I'm excited kasi ito yung time namin na mag-spend ng Christmas as a family. Kasi dati siyempre, last Christmas, nandun yung sinusundo ko pa si Juday. Boyfriend-girlfriend pa lang. Ngayon, talagang ie-enjoy namin yung Noche Buena namin."
CHRISTMAS PLANS. May plano na ba sila ni Juday para sa nalalapit na Kapaskuhan?
"Well, nakaplano na sina Mommy sa amin magpa-Pasko. Even my family wants to spend time sa house namin, e. Pati si Mommy Carol [Santos, Juday's mother] dun din sa amin 'yan. I don't know kung anong araw.
"The other day nga lang, we were talking about the room assignments, the cooking assignments. So, yung mga food, malamang dun na sa kusina ni Juday lulutuin. Magpapasikatan yung mag-ina sa pagluluto. So, it's gonna be a very merry Christmas," masayang balita ni Ryan.
WAIT AND SEE. Mas nape-pressure ba siya ngayon sa paghihintay ng mga tao na magkaanak na sila ni Juday kaysa sa pressure ng pagmi-maintain ng number one sa ratings ng show niyang Talentadong Pinoy?
"Ba't naman napunta sa usapan yan?" natatawang tanong ni Ryan. "E, kasi ikaw namemresure ka, e! Alam mo ilang taon bang tinanong yung wedding? Mga three, mga ganun. Tapos bigla na lang nangyari, di ba? So, kung may magtatanong, siguro yung baby ganun din. Bigla na lang ding darating. Wait and see na lang."
Mas minamahal niya ba ngayon si Juday?
"Parang ano, e, may kasamang umm," sabay kagat-labi ni Ryan. "Oo naman. I mean, it's evolving pa. More than the romance, the friendship is evolving. I thought yung pagpe-prepare namin ng wedding, yun na yung best of friendship talaga. Hindi pa pala. And then now, we're building nest, nasa building nest pa kami. TRADITIONAL RELATIONSHIP. Sino ba ang humahawak sa budget?
"Sa budget, si Juday. Very traditional na babae yung may hawak ng budget. Ako ang role ko, taga-tango!" biro ni Ryan. "No, I mean being the man of the house, I believe that I always have the last say in whatever decisions that we make."
Maipagmamalaki niya ba na hindi ander de saya si Ryan Agoncillo?
"Ay, hindi e!" sabay tawa nang malakas ni Ryan. "Very traditional yung roles kasi nga parang nung kami. So, just to have a working center. Kasi kahit naman sa pagba-budget, si Juday ang may hawak ng libro at siya ang nagba-budget. Still, it's ano pa rin naman, e... Halimbawa wala siya this weekened kasi nagte-taping, 'Sweetheart, ikaw na muna ang bahalang mag-issue ng tseke diyan for the bills.' Ganun, e.
"Halimbawa ako, traditionally, dapat ako yung nagpapaayos ng bahay, yung mga bumbi-bumbilya. Pero hindi rin, e, ako yung tatawag ng tubero! Pero ang mahilig bumili ng mga bumbilya, ng mga lababo, si Juday, e. You know, we just want to start off from a traditional point para lang may sentro. And then from there, wala na, wild na yun, e."
Kumpleto na ba ang bagong bahay nila?
"Kumpleto na, ilang kuwarto na lang ang tinatapos. At least for our bedroom, tinatapos na lang din. Yung mga guest rooms, tinatapos na lang din."
