Ciara Sotto and husband Jojo Oconer are not in a hurry to have a baby yet. There is no pressure either coming from the singer-actress's celebrity parents. "Lima na yong apo nila, e," Ciara told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in a recent conversation.

Ciara Sotto is discovering what all newlyweds are finding out. That married life, particularly its early stages, is a mixed bag of welcome and startling surprises.
"Actually it's really been fun and siyempre I can't say naman na it's gonna be fun all the time," a blooming Ciara told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview during YES! magazine's 10th anniversary party last February 23 at the NBC Tent in The Fort, Taguig City.
Ciara and then boyfriend Jojo Oconer tied the knot on January 17, 2010 in a "vintage" themed wedding at the Westfield Manila Polo Club in Forbes Park, Makati City.
Barely two months into marriage, the daughter of ace comedian-turned-politician Tito Sotto and seasoned actress Helen Gamboa described the post-honeymoon stage as an "adventure."
Explained the singer-actress, "Kasi every day I always discover something new about him and he discovers something new about me."
What are some of the things she discovered about Jojo? We asked.
"Like, he snores," Ciara bluntly confessed with a smile. "Hindi ko alam na gusto pala niya maayos and in order lahat ng mga gamit, ganun. It's fun din kasi parang you're still adjusting."
Having a baby at this stage is not yet part of the couple's immediate plans. According to Ciara, they want to make the most of their time as newlyweds before plunging into another commitment.
"Ako, personally, I'm still adjusting sa kanya [Jojo]. Ang hirap naman kung mag-a-adjust ka ulit agad because of the baby," she said.
MOM ALSO ADJUSTING. It wasn't just Ciara coping with the changes brought by married life.
"My mom," Ciara said endearingly. "Nakiki-adjust din siya. She's not used to it pa rin. Kunwari magyayaya siya, 'I cooked dinner. What do you want?' So, I'll go visit her and just spend time and she'll say, 'Hindi pa rin ako sanay na hindi ka dito matutulog.'"
Ciara recalled a recent incident when her mother suddenly burst into tears while she was retrieving some old belongings in her bedroom.
"Naku umiyak! Sabi ko 'Ma, Jojo is taking care of me naman', and she said, 'I know. I just miss you," narrated Ciara.
Being home with mom also evoked some old routines worth missing.
"Kung may nami-miss ako, 'yong pag gising ko may pagkain na ako agad," confessed Ciara. "Ngayon kasi baliktad, ako 'yong kailangan may food na siya [Jojo] agad. Domesticated na ko ngayon," she beamed with obvious pride.
"Dati nagigising ako any time na gusto ko," added Ciara. "Kung magising ako ng 1:00 p.m. o 2:00 p.m. okay lang. Ngayon hindi, pag nagising siya [Jojo] nagigising na rin ako."
