Naudlot muli ang naibalita ni Rufa Mae Quinto na pagpapakasal niya sa kanyang non-showbiz boyfriend at ang rason na ibinigay ng versatile comedienne ay dahil walang divorce sa Pilipinas. Bunsod nito, may mga biro o kantiyaw kay Rufa Mae na ang sinasabi niya sa press na boyfriend ay imaginary o drawing lang daw.
Kaya naman sinadya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang sexy comedienne sa taping ng Bubble Gang sa Studio 5 ng GMA Network last Monday, February 22, at kinuha namin ang reaction niya sa usaping ito.
"Okay lang kung sasabihin nilang imagination ko lang 'yon. Basta magugulat na lang sila siguro. Kumbaga, kahit anong sabihin ng iba, it won't matter to me. Kasi, pagod na akong mag-explain to prove myself, e. Di ba, I cannot please naman everybody? At saka nauudlot nga kasi kapag ganoon, kaya ayaw ko na ngang ipakilala," pahayag niya.
TAKE A BREAK. Kaakibat ng balitang pagpapakasal niya ay ang pag-iwan daw ni Rufa Mae sa showbiz. Kaya nilinaw rin niya ang bali-balitang ito.
"Hindi ko naman puwedeng tanggalin nang bigla ang sarili ko sa industriya dahil, siyempre, ito ang trabaho ko, e," paglilinaw niya. "At saka, siyempre, mami-miss ko rin. Kasi, parang I'm preparing myself for something, e. Pero hindi naman retirement, huh! Parang break lang.
"Every actress naman, gusto ng break, di ba? Iyong tipong trabaho na I will work with my friends, with the people I like. Yung alam kong walang pressure, yung hindi ngaragan.
"Ako, gusto ko kasing mag-prepare, gusto kong mag-prepare sa future ko. I want to be ready kung ako ay magiging asawa at nanay. Gusto kong maging prepared sa gusto kong puntahan. Pero paano kung busy ka sa taping and everything, paano? At least right now, napa-practice ko ang mag-ayos ng bahay, nakakapunta ako sa mga mall...ganoon.
"At saka ang laki ng utang na loob ko sa showbiz, kaya parang ang kapal naman ng mukha kong sabihin na, 'Ay, babu na!' Hindi ganoon. Kumbaga, parang break lang muna," mahabang paliwanag ni Rufa Mae.
