R&B singer Jay-R and beauty queen girlfriend Krista "Krissa Mae" Kleiner are planning to make up for lost time, brought about by their respective busy schedules, by going on a Singapore cruise.
Jay-R excitedly revealed their planned Holy Week getaway to the members of the entertainment press at the launching of his latest album under Universal Records titled Jay-R Sings OPM Love Classics held recently at Linden Suites in Ortigas, Pasig City.
Although Jay-R quietly acted the supportive boyfriend throughout Krissa Mae's hectic campaign during the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, he admitted missing uninterrupted time with his girlfriend.
Krissa Mae winning the Bb. Pilipinas-International title only means busier times ahead for trainings, seminars and other activities designed to hone her for the upcoming Miss International tilt.
If things fall into place, the singer and Party Pilipinas mainstay wants to make the most of the long holiday break to enable him and Krissa to rest and have fun.
"Sana matuloy, gusto ko mag-cruise," said Jay-R hopefully. "May nag-offer sa amin na libre, so why not?"
The downtime would also provide Jay-R a breather before plunging back to work. Aside from Party Pilipinas, the amiable singer will be hosting a dating game program to be shown on GMA-7.
"It's called Take Me Out. Dating game siya na nag-originate sa U.K. [United Kingdom]... May 30 babae, so pipili sila sa isang lalaki kung gusto nila o hindi," said Jay-R.
The new show explains why Jay-R is trying his best to speak in the native language.
"Kaya ang salita ko ngayon puro Tagalog," he laughed. "Pina-practice ko na Tagalog ko."
