"We have a lot of things in common po. Kumakanta rin siya. Yung music ko, talagang gusto niya talaga. Parang ibang feeling po. Sumasayaw, nasa showbiz din. And ganito pala ang feeling. Maganda rin, e. Akala ko walang privacy, hindi magla-last ang mga showbiz relationship. Pero it's very fun, it's very laid-back lang. We understand each other's feelings po, e," says Jay-R about his relationship with girlfriend Krista Arrieta Kleiner.

Starting April 26, Kapuso viewers will have a date with The Platinum Prince of Soul, Jay-R, as he hosts the new dating show of GMA-7, Take Me Out. It will replace the timeslot of Dingdong Dantes's game show Family Feud.
Hosting is another dream of Jay-R that the Kapuso network has fulfilled. Pero ayon sa R&B singer, hindi niya hiningi ito.
"Hindi ko po ito ni-request. Nangyari lang 'to, e. Feeling ko po, I'm very proud, I'm very happy that the network has given me the opportunity. Like I've said po, I've been in SOP for seven years po, now Party Pilipinas. They finally gave me my own show po to host," sabi ni Jay-R nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa presscon ng Take Me Out kagabi, April 20, sa Studio 5 ng GMA Network Center.
Dumaan din daw si Jay-R sa audition. Wala lang daw siyang idea kung ilan silang pinagpilian.
Sino sa mga show hosts ang hinahangaan ni Jay-R?
"Ryan Seacrest, definitely!" bulalas ni Jay-R. "Si Ogie Alcasid...Ogie and Janno Gibbs, they are great. KC Montero, magaling din. Jimmy Muna..."
MISSING KRISTA. There are 30 girls in Take Me Out searching for their perfect date. Sa mga girls na ito, wala ba siyang napapansin o nagpapansin sa kanya especially now that his girlfriend, Bb. Pilipinas-International 2010 Krista Arrieta Kleiner, is not around?
"Well, may mga nakikita akong tingin-tingin, hawak sa balikat, pero wala namang mga direct flirting. Atsaka siyempre, kapag in love ka, isa lang naman ang ano mo, di ba?" nakangiti sabi ni Jay-R.
Ayaw namang sumang-ayon ni Jay-R sa kasabihang "absence makes the heart go flirting." Lalo pa nga't ilang buwang mawawala si Krista dahil sa pagsama nito sa concert tour ng Spanish singer na si Julio Iglesias. Natatawa nitong sabi, "Hindi, hindi, mali yun!"
Pero sure siyang pagbalik ni Krista, sila pa rin?
"I have a good feeling na kami pa rin po," nakangiti ng sagot ni Jay-R.
Nagkakausap pa rin ba sila regularly kahit malayo si Krista?
"Every day po... Skype, kasi libre at mura lang."
Nagulat naman si Jay-R nang malaman niyang may mga entertainment press na nagpa-follow sa kanya at nababasa ang Twitter posts niya. Tulad na lang ng Twit niya recently na, "I'm feeling sad again. I hate this feeling."
Ano ang ibig sabihin niya rito?
"Hindi, kasi noong gabing yun, nasanay ako na every day kaming nagsasalita, nag-uusap [ni Krista]. E, nung day na yun, lumipad siya papuntang Hawaii. E, ang tagal ng flight niya. Siyempre, ilang oras yun, so parang nalungkot na ako. Miss ko na siya. So, you know, nag-Twit na ako para malabas ko na ang feelings ko," paliwanag ni Jay-R.
Sobrang in love ba siya kay Krista?
"Yes," mabilis naman niyang pag-amin.
Ayon kay Jay-R, magwa-one year na raw sila ni Krista. Pero ang one month na wala raw ang kasintahan ay parang sobrang tagal na raw for him.
"Every day ko siyang nami-miss, every day talaga," pag-amin niya.
