"Sa ilalim ng lahat ng pagka-busy, nandoon 'yong kaba kasi maiiba na 'yong buhay mo dahil may aalagaan ka na bukod sa sarili mo and sa anak mo," comedienne Tuesday Vargas said, pertaining to the life she will face after her June 19 wedding with longtime boyfriend Coy Placido of the pop-rock band Session Road.

The title of Tuesday Vargas's upcoming movie, Here Comes The Bride, perfectly fits her present status. On June 19 in Boracay, the comedienne will finally tie the knot with musician and longtime boyfriend Coy Placido.

"We started with a modest guest list of 75 people and we jumped to 180 sa sobrang dami ng gustong makibahagi sa saya. Kasi we've been friends for almost ten years and we've been a couple for six years, so ang dami na naming na-amass na kaibigan na mga kasama sa work, mga kabarkada through the years na gusto talagang mag-participate. Gusto talaga naman maliit lang, pero hindi talaga puwede," Tuesday excitedly told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) after the press conference of Here Comes The Bride staged at ABS-CBN's Dolphy Theater in Quezon City yesterday, April 29.

The comedy film—which also stars Angelica Panganiban, John Lapus, and Eugene Domingo—is a joint venture of Star Cinema, Quantum Films, and OctoArts Films and will be shown nationwide on May 12.

Tuesday really wanted a beach wedding though she never mentioned anything to Coy throughout the course of their six-year relationship. Coy's decision to pick the picturesque tropical island as their wedding location has a poignant, romantic background.

"I asked Coy after he asked me to be his wife, tinanong ko sa kanya kung 'Saan mo ba gusto?' Pero buong buhay ko talaga, pangarap ko na 'yong beach wedding," said Tuesday.

She added, "Kasi naalala niya [Coy] 'yong magkaibigan pa kami at that time, parang isang buwan akong nagkulong sa Boracay after a very bad breakup. Tapos nagkita kami ulit then na-rekindle namin 'yong pagiging friends namin until nag-proceed into a more serious relationship hanggang sa ito na nga, ikakasal na kami. Sabi niya, it would be nice to top it all off with a wedding in Boracay."

FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON. It certainly helps that Tuesday and Coy started out as good friends before falling in love. Tuesday described the Session Road guitarist as both loving and understanding.

"I always felt that it's the right time [to settle down] when Coy and I got together. Alam ko agad sa sarili ko na ito na 'yong person for me kasi we complement each other. 'Yong wala ako, nasa kanya, tapos 'yong mga qualities na meron ako nakikita ko din naman sa kanya. So in so many ways, para kaming magkapatid, magkaibigan, ang dami naming relationships na sini-share. So, sa'n ka pa ba, di ba? Ano pang hahanapin mo?"

Coy never had a problem accepting Tuesday's son from a previous relationship. He was only two years old when she and Coy started dating exclusively.

"He grew up with Coy and alam niya na hindi si Coy ang biological father niya, pero in-embrace ni Coy 'yong family namin and kaming mag-ina nang walang alinlangan. Isa pa 'yon kaya ko nasabi sa sarili ko na handa na kami dahil minahal niya 'yong anak ko, 'yon yung pinakaimportante," she said.

Tuesday mentioned during the presscon proper that they would have to spend P1.2 million for the entire wedding.

"Mahal ang destination wedding," she seriously confessed to PEP.

But who's shouldering the bulk of the expenses?

Tuesday also revealed their scheduled overseas trip days before the wedding.
