Due to insistent public demand, Mario Maurer returned to the Philippines to meet his fans at the Penshoppe Encore event last December 13, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
It was also nine days after his birthday so the show was dubbed, "The best gift comes with a smile..."
Garbed in a gray blazer over red shirt, which he paired with simple denims, the Thai actor elicited a lot of "I love you, Mario" and "Marry me, Mario" from the female crowd.
He said during Kat Alano's interview, "I feel very surprised, because I know about my first visit here, and now the second one.
"But I'm very happy that all my fans are here."
What can he say about the country?
His reply: "The Philippines is a very beautiful country. The people are very nice and I'm very happy to be here again."
When asked to describe the Pinays, he said, "Filipina? Filipino women? I think they are very sexy!"
And naturally, this answer earned him another round of cheers.
At present, his face is very visible on EDSA. He remarked, "I was surprised that I saw a billboard of me here. It was really big!"
HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Also part of the event was a segment for his birthday.
His fans sang the "Happy Birthday" song. He was given a cake, made a wish, then blew out the candles. "Thank you all for celebrating my birthday with me," he said with a smile.
Mario is bound to visit again soon.
And he is not just going to walk the runway...but shoot his film Suddenly It's Magic, where he will be paired with Erich Gonzales, under Star Cinema.
