"I was a fan as well," says Melissa Ricks.

So whenever she can, she makes time for them.

On the eve of her birthday, January 8, the Nasaan Ka, Elisa? lead actress met up with a fan club called Melicks, which surprised her with a kiddie party at Mc Donald's Quezon Avenue in Quezon City.

"I'm very thankful..." Melissa remarks. "Siyempre, gusto kong mapalapit sa fans ko na hindi lang bilang fans but as friends as well."

Aside from special gatherings like this, Melissa also makes use of the social media to stay connected with her fans.

The Star Magic talent adds, "Kaya mahilig akong mag-tweet, mag-reply. Kung ako 'yon, gusto ko rin ng reply ng idol ko. Gusto ko rin na sagutin ako ng idol ko."

And this year, the upcoming cast member of Walang Hanggan looks forward to having more events that will involve her supporters.

"Sana laging may ganito. Sana laging may chance to spend time with them and have fun with them," ends Melissa.
