“Kaya talaga ako umuwi para mag-umpisa ng pamilya,” confesses lawyer Bebong Muñoz, Jolina Magdangal’s long-time boyfriend. The couple gave an exclusive interview to Boy Abunda—the couple’s matchmaker—for ABS-CBN 2 showbiz talk show The Buzz last Sunday, November 12.

“Ang sabi sa akin ng lahat ng tao, ‘wag na ako umuwi dahil maganda na raw ang buhay ko doon,” explains Bebong—who went to the United States for four years to study and work. “Isipin ko daw ang sarili ko, pero nagdesisyon kami na ang iisipin namin [ni Jolina] ay ang kapakanan naming dalawa. Pag-uwi ko dito, na-realize ko hindi lang kami mag-boyfriend, parang magka-tropa rin kami.”

“Kumbaga, magkasama kami,” adds the love-struck Jolina. “Tulungan ‘to. Magkasama kami. ‘Di kami magkakanya-kanya.”

Though Bebong has yet made a formal marriage proposal to Jolina, he has already asked Boy Abunda for the young actress’ hand. He explains that Boy was instrumental in their relationship, and that Boy would be part of the wedding entourage.
