"Kapag lumalabas ako ang tawag sa akin, 'Victoria! Victoria!'  Nakalimutan na si Gretchen.  Nakalimutan na nila pero natutuwa ako na, ayun, Victoria na rin ang pangalan ko," says actress Gretchen Barretto on the fashionista role she portrays in ABS-CBN series Magkaribal.

Gretchen Barretto easily got the attention of the other fashionistas who attended the annual Preview Best-Dressed Ball last Saturday, July 3, at Republiq, Resorts World Manila, in Pasay City.

The actress joined fellow "fasyon" in paying tribute to the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen by wearing a black and red dress created by the popular British fashion designer.

Although the actress is often seen wearing glamorous clothes , Gretchen said she doesn't only dress for style but also "for comfort and for my (character in Magkaribal).  Victoria na Victoria! (laughs)."  She currently portrays the character of Victoria, dubbed as Queen of Philippine Fashion, in ABS-CBN's newest fashion TV series Magkaribal.

Gretchen, who graced the cover of Preview's July issue, is one of the ten ladies who made it to this year's Best Dressed awardees.  Others were dermatologist Aivee Aguilar-Teo, Striker Mobile Media's chief operating officer Ann Jacobe, photographer Garovs Garovillo, , philanthropist Kaye Tinga, Giordano Philippines' product development manager Lloyda Lim, model and designer Marita Fe Ganse, and fashion blogger and designer Rosanna Aranaz.  Shoe designer Ivy Kirzhner and fashion blogger Ingrid Holm were also part of the awardees who, unfortunately, were not able to attend the event.

PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) also spotted local celebrities  Karylle, Bubbles Paraiso, Bianca King, Maxene Magalona, Glaiza De Castro, Felix Roco, and Alvin Aragon; models Sarah Meier, Joey Mead, Borgy Manotoc, and Georgina Wilson; TV personalities Tim Yap, Raymond Gutierrez, and Gretchen Fullido.
