As Janelle Manahan continues to seek justice for the crime that left her face paralyzed—a crime that also claimed the life of boyfriend Ramgen Revilla—she also strives putting together the life she almost lost.

In an exclusive interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on January 16, the former Kapamilya actress talked about how her online fashion business, State Of Pink, is keeping her busy these days.

Janelle established her online boutique sometime in the middle of last year. The name of which, she says, was actually something that Ramgen helped her decide on.

"Actually kasi favorite color ko pink. 'Tapos yung market ko nga is girls, so pink naman iyong parang representation ng pagkababae, 'di ba?

"So yung state of mind ko, 'yung fashion, tapos parang nilagay ko lang doon na parang wala lang, out of the blue lang.

"Actually, sobrang bilis no'n kasi nagke-create ako ng blog muna, not thinking of the brand name talaga.

"Tapos sabi ko, 'Parang okay naman iyong State OF Pink,' tapos si Ram nga mismo nagsabi 'Parang gusto ko rin yung name nung blog mo.'

"So sabi ko, 'O, sige' tapos iyon na yung ginamit ko."

IT STARTED WITH A BLOG. When Janelle was just a little girl, her grandma, who was a dressmaker, would garb her in fluffy dresses with matching accessories and shoes.

"Every day kahit nasa bahay ako, naka-dress talaga ako na may matching na hat at saka ribbon or headband.

"Siguro mga two or three [years old] ko na, parang everyday naka-ayos talaga ako sa loob ng bahay, naka-shoes pa! Tapos nagha-high heels pa ko, yung mababa lang na pambata."

This is where her love affair for good, stylish clothing began.

Until she reached her teens, Janelle fed her penchant for fashion by browsing pictures and style websites online.

She started a personal blog, which served as her mood board and style resource.

"May Tumblr ako noon na nagre-reblog ako ng latest fashion trends, so doon ako kumukuha ng parang inspiration to create.
