Marc Pingris was still on a high when PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) interviewed him at the victory part prepared for the B-Meg Llamados last Tuesday, May 8.

His team won the “do-or-die” Game 7 of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) championship series against Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters last Sunday, May 6.

The Pinoy Sakuragi did not mind his broken left finger even after his doctor advised him to rest. Marc still gave his best shot in the final game.

“Binigyan ako ng doctor na tatlong linggong rehab pero wala, mas gusto kong maglaro, e. Pasaway, pero ngayon lang,” said Marc with a laugh.

Although the Commissioner’s Cup is over, Marc and his fellow basketball stars  won’t have much time for vacation.

They are now in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte for the PBA All-Star game this weekend. The season-ending Governor’s Cup will start on May 20.

“Walang pahinga pero okay naman,” said Marc, “Sulit naman, masaya naman dahil nag-champion.”

TIME WITH FAMILY. Does this mean he will have no time to celebrate with his wife Danica Sotto and kids?

“Naiintindihan naman niya [Danica] ‘yong trabaho ko,” replied Marc.

Since they’ll be in Ilocos Norte this weekend, it might be impossible to celebrate Mother’s Day with his wife.

However, Marc assured the daughter of Vic Sotto that he'll give her and their kids quality time after the incoming PBA Governor’s Cup.

“Sinasabi ko na lang sa kanya na babawi na lang ako sa August kasi ‘yon talaga ‘yong break namin,” said Marc.

If he can make it on Sunday, what treat would he give Danica?

Marc answered, “Kasi, kilala ko si Danica, e. Hindi naman siya nakukuha sa regalo, e, kundi pinapakita kung sino talaga ‘yong Marc Pingris sa buhay niya. ‘Yon naman ang totoo, e.

“Well, minsan masaya kung may binibigay. Pero importante ‘yong magkasama kaming masaya.”
