American singer-actress Leighton Meester, who is popular for playing Blair Waldorf in the teen drama series Gossip Girl, is the new addition to the “All Stars” campaign of Penshoppe.

The local clothing brand hinted about this on its Twitter account earlier, May 22. The post read:  “CONFIRMED: A ‘Queen’ is coming to town - this is what #IMPACT is all about xoxo.”

“Queen” or “Queen B” are the monikers sometimes used for Leighton’s character, who is regarded as the “queen” of Manhattan’s social scene on Gossip Girl.

A few hours after, the retail clothing company made the official announcement in the microblogging site, “Team @PENSHOPPE officially welcomes LEIGHTON MEESTER @itsmeleighton to #PENSHOPPEAllStars.”

Also mentioned was that Leighton would be coming to Manila for its upcoming big show called “Impact.”

Leighton will join Hollywood StarZac Efron, Gossip Girl co-actor Ed Westwick, and The Vampire Diaries Ian Somerhalder in endorsing the clothing brand.

Ian is currently in the country to do a photo shoot and to attend a press conference which will be held in Manila.
