Here’s another rainy day-appropriate outfit that girls can try.
Kapuso teen star Bea Binene showed how to stay rocker chic, despite the ballad-worthy weather, in the ensemble she wore at the press conference of YES! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful Stars issue last July.
Bea wore a nearly head-to-toe black outfit, composed of a graphic-printed tee, fringed mini skirt, and lace-up leather boots with gold studs.
She had accessories that carefully matched her footwear: a satin clutch and a bunch of long necklaces, all in gold and black.
And like icing on a cake, she capped her look with a bright orange blazer, which simply said: "a rocker chic look doesn't necessarily mean you cannot wear colored stuff."
GET THE LOOK. To achieve Bea’s look, simply combine pieces that inspire a rock-star vibe.
Aside from the color black, other so-called dreary colors—gray, ash or dirty white—may be used as an alternative.
Don a T-shirt with a rather creepy design, like a distressed black cross.
Pair it with a black mini skirt or pleated shorts for a touch of femininity.
If you’re not comfortable wearing a short bottom all by itself, you may also wear plain black stockings underneath.
But if you’re not into showing off skin—or if you just want to stay warm in this weather—then go for leggings. One with a built-in mini skirt is also a nice 2-in-1 touch.
As for the blazer, pick a nice color that induces a happy vibe—try the color palette of a neon highlighter pen set.
Although brightly colored blazers abound in the market these days, your other options could be a bright-colored cardigan or an unbuttoned oversized polo shirt.
Black leather boots are, of course, very important to this outfit, so wear one that's high-cut and has platform heels.
For accessories, pick pieces that inspire a rock or heavy metal aura.
