Jake Vargas was among the 100 celebrities in the list of most beautiful stars published by YES! Magazine in its July 2012 issue.

The former Alice Bungisngis and the Wonder Walis told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the publication’s launch party held on July 2 at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, that he is proud of his achievement.

He has no particular grooming regimen, “Wala akong ginagamit sa mukha.

HAIR MAKEOVER. However, Jake could sometimes be griped about his hair.

For the last five years, he had been sporting a medium fringe hairdo, which he so carefully styles with wax in order to achieve his desired texture.

But just last June, the 20-year-old actor decided to trim and style his mane  differently.

“Idea ko talaga na magpagupit,” he said when asked what inspired him to get a haircut.

The result of this personal experiment is a slick but edgy look.

The side and back portions have been trimmed down to a neat length, while keeping the party-up top with gelled spikes.

Jake explains that he changed his his hairdo is to show the public a different side of his persona.

So far, Jake’s fans have nothing but raves for his new look.
