StarStruck Batch 3 finalists had a taste of the glam showbiz life when they met celebrity makeup artist Barbi Chan. In a makeup session conducted by Barbi on November 24 at Robinson’s Place Ermita, the finalists were taught how to do their own makeup—a most valuable skill in showbiz!

Here are Barbi's Tips:

Use a foundation that matches your skin color. A lot of people make the mistake of choosing a foundation that's two shades lighter than their natural skin color. That results in the "floating head," also known as "the espasol look."

Use a concealer to hide flaws, especially skin discolorations. Choose a concealer that is one shade lighter than your natural skin color.

For day makeup, use lip gloss. But for a night out with friends, use lipstick that matches your lip's color. Don't forget to top it with lip gloss.

Shaved, pencil-thin eyebrows are out . Just trim your eyebrows and groom it with clear mascara. You can use dark-brown or a medium-brown eyebrow pencil to make your eyebrows appear thicker.

For cheek color, stick to pastel pinks and apricot for the natural look. Apply blush only on the apples of you cheeks.
