The Blackberry Playbook launch held last August 3 at the Dusit Thani Hotel, overflowed with drinks—and teemed with celebrities!

Supposedly an event for techies, it was also attended by the likes of Cesar Montano with wife Sunshine Cruz, Pia Magalona, and Angelu de Leon.

Not only did they party, they raved about being a "Crackberry."

Smiling, Pia exclaimed, "That's what we're called."

She said she's been a BlackBerry user for "two years already going on three," and "I have to admit I'm a gadgets person. I'm not ashamed of it. This is already my sixth unit."

Everyone in the Magalona household, including her mom, is subscribed to the service.

When asked how much time she spends texting and browsing, "My whole life...because everything is in here!" she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

Yup, she also has a Playbook.

"I like it because it fits my purse. So it's there all the time. I can BBM [BlackBerry Messaging] from my Playbook, I can look at my files, I can surf the web, I can do anything, practically anything with it!"

As for Cesar, he finds his phone "very important," given the numerous roles he portrays both in his real and reel life.

The Andre de Saya star said, "I'm a businessman. I'm an actor. I deal...and have to talk to a lot of people."

His wife Sunshine is no techie, but, "I can't live without my [phone]," which she has been using for "more or less, three years."

When asked about the product that was launched that evening, she related, "I tried it for just a day and I can say that I really love it and even Cesar. He's very lucky kasi natanggap niya [yung tablet] niya noong August 1, his birthday. Since August 1, lagi na niyang hawak and he told me that it is the best.

She's afraid though about her husband getting addicted to it.

The seven-inch toy can let a user watch his/ her favorite show episode, skim a novel, play or watch a game, and at the same time, read and respond to emails.
