Sam Milby says he will never quit showbiz despite his strong enthusiasm for motocross.

The 27-year-old celebrity, who won third place in a motocross competition held recently in Cavite, said it would remain a passion but not a profession.

"Motocross ang isang bagay na hindi ko kayang pigilan kasi passion ko talaga.

"But hindi naman puwedeng maging career kasi 'yong mga magagaling na motocrossers, nagsimula sila noong five years old sila o three years old," explained Sam in an interview after he renewed his endorsement contract with Dermablend last Tuesday, August 16.

The acoustic heartthrob also mentioned that motocross is not just his favorite sport but also his stress-reliever.

He related, "I think it's nice na 'yong isang bagay, isang sport o isang hobby ang ginagawa mo para pang-release [ng stress].

"Minsan nagiging stressful, sometimes nagiging busy. I think kailangan mo 'yon na pang-release, 'yong isang bagay na gustung-gusto mo talaga.

DAY-OFF FROM ASAP. Sam did not deny that because of joining the competition last week, he had to excuse himself from appearing in the Sunday variety show ASAP.

The singer-actor explained that it was a great opportunity to represent his sponsor, the Australian motorcycle brand KTM.

He said, "Ang gusto nila, sasama ako sa mga karera kung puwede.

"At nakita ko 'yong isang pagkakataon this year na puwede akong mag-race.

"Sabi ko, sa Cavite lang naman. So, 'yon ang first race ko this year with KTM din."

The semi-regular performer of ASAP also clarified that he asked permission to be absent on that episode of ASAP. He added, "Ang alam ko, marami namang artista na nagtu-twice a month lang sila.

"Siyempre, ang dami namang artists ng ASAP. So, I blocked [that day] off. Sabi ko, may karera this date, baka puwede."

MOTOCROSS OR GIRLFRIEND? Meanwhile, Sam had a hard time  chooslng between motocross and a girlfriend.

"You can't make me choose!" he told the media after thinking for a couple of minutes.
