Amy Perez and boyfriend Carlo Castillo realize their wish to have a baby!

The actress-host gave birth to a baby boy who weighs 6.1 lbs. early this morning—5:18 a.m., to be exact—December 19, at the Family Birthing Room of St. Luke's Hospital.

In a text message sent by Amy to some of her closest friends in showbiz, she said that she spent "almost two days in the labor room."

She named her second son, Sean Kyle Perez Castillo. Her first son Adi is now 11 years old.

It will be recalled that early last year, Amy suffered a miscarriage. She admitted feeling initially depressed about it, but after a few weeks, positive thinking took over. In an interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last February 6, 2007, Amy said, "We can still try to make a new baby pa..."

Barely a week before Christmas, the couple's wish was granted.
