Bukod sa pagsasayaw, nahihiligan ngayon ni Gab Valenciano ang paggawa ng album ng ibang artists bilang producer.

"I am a dancer. People have seen me dance. People have seen me act...sort of. Right now, I’m getting into music. It has always been my dream to become a producer," pahayag ni Gab nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa fashion show ng Lee sa SM Mall of Asia noong Sabado, October 30.

Isa raw sa mga pangarap ni Gab ang maging producer, at natutupad naman ito.

Aniya, "That’s always been my dream—to become a producer, and I’ve always been producing left and right for different artists and for different events."

Ilan sa mga artistang nagawan na niya ng album ay sina Jericho Rosales, Jed Madela, at ang kanyang ex-girlfriend na si Rachelle Ann Go.

Ayon kay Gab, natutuwa siya kapag nakikitang pine-perform ng ibang artists ang kanyang musika.

"The fact that I hear people doing what I created... Now, I know [how] directors feel. I create and people perform it, it is really a different experience," saad niya.

Balak ni Gab na magpakadalubhasa sa larangang ito, kaya raw lilipad siya patungong U.S. sa susunod na taon.

DADDY’S GUY. Ngayong gumagawa na si Gab ng kanyang sariling pangalan, hindi ba siya napi-pressure na pantayan ang achievements ng kanyang ama na si Gary Valenciano?

"I don’t really feel it," sagot niya. "Because no matter how many people tell me how much I have to be like my dad, as long as my dad tells me I don’t [have to be], I’m okay with that.

"You know, everybody can tell me, ‘O, you have to be like your dad! You have to better than him! How are you gonna match up with him?'

"My dad would always tell me, ‘Be your own person.'"

Aminado si Gab na marami silang pagkakapareha ng kanyang ama.

"I kind of resemble him. We dance. We dress up the same way. We like the same clothes. We like the same cars. We like the same everything.

"Even with the taste with girls, ‘Dad! she’s pretty, 'no?’ And then he would agree," kuwento niya.
