Host-actor Paolo Contis, who celebrated his 26th birthday on March 14, 2010, received a special birthday gift one week in advance.

His girlfriend, Lian Paz, gave birth to their first child on March 7 at the St. Luke's Hospital in Quezon City.

The couple named their first born Xonia Aitana (pronounced Sonya Aytana).

"'Yong Aitana is Italian," the proud new dad explains. "It means 'the glorious one.' 'Yong Xonia, hindi ko alam, e. Basta matagal na naming napili ni Lian 'yong name na Xonia. Ginawa lang naming X 'yong S. Wala, para maiba lang."

Xonia, who weighed 7.8 pounds and measured 26 inches at birth, was delivered by cesarian section. "Dapat natural, e," says Paolo. "Kaso, two days na nagle-labor, ayaw pang lumabas. Ang hinala ng doctor, baka daw naka-coil sa paa 'yong umbilical cord, sinesarean na."
