Robin Padilla is said to have raised tough girls.

To see his daughters cry over boys is the last thing the action star, or any parent, would want to see.

Robin's daughter, Kylie Padilla, recently celebrated her 19th birthday and the actor-father threw a surprise shindig for his daughter, the second of his three 'princesses' with ex-wife Liezl Sicangco.

Robin's other children—Queenie, Zhen Zhen, and Ali—are set to go back to Queensland, Australia where they were all raised. The party for Kylie was also a send-off to Robin's three children.

It was reported that Kylie cried during the surprise party last January 22 because her "super close" friend, GMA-7 talent Aljur Abrenica, did not show up and further aggravated their rumored break-up.

Kylie refuted this issue [CLICK HERE to read related story]. According to her, she and Aljur were never even a couple.

At the recent press conference of ABS-CBN's sitcom Toda Max on November 9, Thursday, held at the 14^th Floor, ELJ Building of the ABS-CBN Network, Robin conveyed that he was unaware of his daughter's weeping incident.

"Umiyak? Wow. Aba, e, alamin muna natin kung sino ang may kasalanan diyan," was Robin's stunned but calm reply.

Further asked if Kylie came to him crying or even confided in him, the actor was quick to respond, "Ai hindi, hindi, hindi. Hindi niya gagawin 'yun!"

He explains that his daughter is not one to cry over such matters, more so disclose such troubles with him: "[Hindi niya gagawin ang] number one, siguro, pag-iyak [at] number two, pagsabi sa akin."

When prodded to elaborate, Robin, a.k.a. Binoy, states, "Ayy, hindi gawain ng babae ang umiyak.

"Ang lalaki dapat ang ano, hindi naman ang umiiyak! Kailangan lalaki ang naaapektuhan sa relasyon. Hindi [ang] babae."

Did he advise this to his daughter?

"Matutuklasan niya 'yan sa sarili niyang journey."

Is Philippine cinema's "Bad Boy" action star one to get angry and upset over seeing her daughter cry? Robin says, "Hindi. Marami kasing klaseng pag-iyak, e! Kung niloko siya... e highly trained naman yung anak ko. Bahala na siya."
