Danica Sotto-Pingris enjoys being wife to BMEG Llamados player, Marc Pingris, and mother to her two kids.

The daughter of Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie is often spotted at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, cheering for her hubby on the games.

How does she react when the games get too physical?

“Ano…ah, kinakabahan ako. Kaya lang, hanggang ano lang naman ako eh…pag-a-advise lang ako eh…”

“Hanggang sigaw…pero at the end of the day, siya pa rin ang magde-decide. Sinasabi ko lang sa kanya na as much as possible, keep your cool.”

“Pero, siyempre, tao lang din siya, nagkakamali paminsan, di ba.”

Marc was involved in a minor scrimmage with a player from the Barangay Ginebra Kings this season. But as he explained to Danica, these were simply brought by the heat of the moment and are non-issues outside the court.

Has she ever been hostile to anybody because of the intensity of the game?

“Siguro, yung the usual, yung mga ‘Boo!’ Yung pag binu-boo ko yung ibang team…”

“Or minsan pag bad call yung ref, napapasigaw din ako…yung tipong, ‘Ref, kailangan ba may dugo?’” she says, mimicking her own angry voice.

“Yung ganun…yung parang heckler ka lang…” Danica quips.

On how she feels about unfriendly fans of the opposing teams, Danica maintains, she’s gotten used to it.

“[Sa mga] nagbu-boo sa kanya? Nasanay na rin.”

“Before, sobra kong feel bad talaga. Lalo na yung mga, uhm, hindi pa kami married, nanood na ko sa kanya.”

The couple wed in 2007. Since then, Danica has become even more supportive of her husband.
