“It’s like painting by intuition so that your hands and mind work together. And it usually comes out really nice.”
Other things that keep Will preoccupied during his free time are listening to music and songwriting.
“Singing and songwriting had always been a hobby of mine, but not many people know that.
“Actually, all of my friends would say the same thing, ‘We didn’t know you can sing,’ because I was very shy before, and it's now only I am starting to come out of the shell for the second time.
“Kumbaga, I have a first shell that cracked open and I didn’t know I had another one pa pala inside that needed to be cracked and needed to be revealed.
“I think we all have our own gift that we don’t really know at times.
“I know I have talent. I’ve just been afraid to go and let it loose.
“I guess it’s because of my upbringing that I wasn’t really that free.
“But within this past year, I learned a lot and God has taught me a lot, to be honest.
“And now I’m more excited for my life, unlike ever before.”
As for his taste in music, Will's choices are pretty diverse.
“Sa totoo lang, lahat [pinapakinggan ko]— from pop music to hip hop to reggae to house to trance to techno.”
He added, “Dance music also. That’s the big thing now.”
He looks up to a lot of musicians and artists, including Marvin Gay, James Brown, Michael Jacskon, Usher, and Chris Brown; and bands like Coldplay, Foo Fighters, and Smashing Pumpkins.
“Even Metallica, I like,” he added.
