At the launch of VitaPops, one little lady singing “Call Me Maybe” catches our attention.
The taller girl beside her is focused on designing her tumbler and, from time to time, would sway her hips.
The tallest among them gives us a shy smile before nodding her head when we ask, “Are you the daughters of Daphne Oseña?”
“I am Sophia, that's with P-H-I-A,” the eldest child of the host-designer offers the information.
Referring to the kid who is singing, she adds, “That’s Stella.”
The middle child is Lily.
Daphne smiles after hearing our encounter with her three girls.
She says, “We have a very creative home.
“They see me work on the jewelry, on the design. They see my blog. They know I take pictures.
“At night, they prepare a little production for me. They make their own costume. They make their own stories.
“Sometimes, Sophia will narrate the stories and Lily will act.”
What if one of her girls considers joining showbiz?
Daphne’s quick reply, “No, they cannot. Kasi they’re going to have a traditional school na bawal ang lahat.”
Daphne says of her nine-year-old panganay Sophia: “She is very articulate. She speaks well. She reads a lot. She writes a lot. Even in theater program, she’s learning how to sing.
“Like, in theater, she likes it. Nag-audition pa 'yan. I suppose it’s what she wants, so I support her.”
