First time na nagtalop sa harap ng kamera si Felix Roco sa Sagrada Familia, ang mainit na pinag-uusapang pelikula tungkol sa incest ni Joel Lamangan. Sobrang naapektuhan ang aktor sa paggawa ng sensitibong eksena na noong una namin siyang nakapanayam, sinabi niya na napaiyak daw siya dahil sa karanasang ito.
"But, that's part of it," nangingiting sabi na lang niya. "Gulo kasi ang isip ko. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang sasabihin ng mga tao. Apprehensive ako sa kung ano ang magiging reaction ng parents ko [Bembol Roco and Coco Artadi-Roco] sa mga naglalabasan.
"Lumakas lang ang loob ko nang mabanggit ng daddy ko sa akin na nabalitaan nga niya yung nagawa ko sa movie. Okey lang daw. Artista naman siya kaya naiintindihan niya.
"Ginawa ko lang naman kasi yun to prove my versatility. May nagsasabi nga sa akin, baka ang next offers sa akin, mag-bold na ako, which I won't let it happen naman. I would just bare because it's part of acting, and I won't bare dahil lang sa kung anong reason. I just want to make it clear," paliwanag ni Felix.
DRAMA IN HIS BLOOD. Para kay Felix, ang role niya bilang boyfriend ni Lovi Poe sa Sagrada Familia ang isa sa pinaka-challenging na nagampanan na niya. Isa pa ay ang papel niya sa Engkuwentro, "ang pinakamahirap na nagawa ko," sabi ng aktor, tungkol sa Cinemalaya entry na dinirek ni Pepe Diokno at isa sa local indies na kinilala sa Venice International Film Festival.
Dahil sa mga roles na ganito, alam na ni Felix ang landas na gusto niyang tahakin bilang aktor.
"Gusto kong maging flexible, pero sana, hindi lahat ng roles na ibibigay sa akin, magre-require na maghubad ako. Gusto ko yung mapansin ang talent ko. I feel naman, sa movie namin with Direk Joel, I got into the right track.
"Gusto ko talagang mag-concentrate sa drama. Sa character, gusto kong makatiyempo gaya sa nagawa ng father ko, yung Maynila sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag, as Julio Madiaga.
