Among Big Brother's first batch of tenants, Say Alonzo is distinctly remembered as the kikay rich girl. Her sweet and jovial demeanor, not to mention her romantic involvement with one of the housemates, secured her a spot in the Big Four.
After leaving the Pinoy Big Brother house, Say said hello again to her family's own home in the country: a cool, classic structure that goes smoothly with the interior's elegant old-style furniture pieces and ornaments.
The home's two sitting areas on the ground floor basically share the same look but have distinct functions.
One is comfortable and casual in feel, and is a go-to place for several hours' worth of enjoying game boards and relishing a good book.
The other, which also stands as the main living room, is noticeably more formal. It is filled with a heavy, Victorian-inspired sofa set decked with fringed throw pillows. The set is paired with a simple glass-topped center table.
The main attraction in this area, which always gets the curious attention of house guests, is an imposing painting featuring galloping horses, which is supposed to be a sign of good luck and power. The painting is as wide as the sofa.
The old-world look spills over to the dining area which showcases an eight-seater cushioned set, with a table with huge wooden legs.
Underneath, an area rug with classic floral print adds an interesting touch to a relatively unadorned dining set. A crystal chandelier completes the classic look. Wooden cabinets on either side of the dining set houses china and other kitchen ware and provides traditional symmetry to the space.
As expected, Say's private room is girly, although it has grown-up touches. The whimsical is added to the bed by the sheer canopy draping over it. The distinct shade of pink on the duvet cover goes well with the green side tables.
A visit to Say's home is not complete without dropping by or, better yet, spending minutes chilling out in the lanai, where a white wicker set spells nice comfort, and in the pool area, where the pool's ample size and cool waters spell good fun.
