Good vibes are still in store for Dra. Vicki Belo even in the middle of 2010. Her business is booming, and her family and friends are always there to support her.
So what better way to invite more good luck than to throw a Chinese-themed party, complete with China's sumptous food and the traditional dragon dance?
This is what celebrity doctor Vicki Belo has done for the re-launch of the Greenhills branch of Belo Medical Clinic, held last Tuesday, August 10. The branch, which is celebrating its eight anniversary, has been given a fabulous brush-up—the facilities renovated, equipment upgraded, and services made more effective.
"We have China-fied Greenhills by doing all these," said Dra. Vicki in her speech. "You know this event is to show my appreciation of Greenhills's Chinese? They're the most successful, the most charming. I hope I get these qualities."
A tent was erected in front of the clinic to accommodate Dra. Vicki's guests, composed of her clients from the area.
Regal Films matriarch Lily Monteverde and her daughter Roselle Monteverde-Teo took time off their busy schedules to personally congratulate Dra. Vicki.
Also present were several of her celebrity endorsers, including Christian Bautista, Phoemela Baranda, Sam Concepcion, Donita Rose, Matteo Guidicelli, Marco Mañalac, AJ Perez, Liezl Martinez, Richard Poon, Karylle, Victor Basa, Divine Lee, Angelu de Leon, and lawyer-politician Adel Tamano.
Dra. Vicki's family were also there: daughter Cristalle Henares, son Quark Henares, and former husband Atom Henares.
The program started at around 7 p.m., when Dra. Vicki and her guests released sevaral balloons into the air, signaling some of the good things to come to the clinic. Next up was a breath-taking dragon dance display that made the rounds of the premises. According to Chinese custom, dragons symbolize good luck, so it is proper for the dragon dance to reach every corner of Belo-Greenhills.
The accompanying program featured performances by Richard Poon and Christian Bautista. The two sang several big-band hits, including Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and The Move's "Chinatown."
In the spirit of fun, Dra. Vicki and Cristalle climbed the stage at one point to sing with the two ASAP XV singers.
Agua Bendita actor Matteo Guidicelli also showcased his voice by singing Miley Cyrus's "The Climb."
PERSONAL BEAUTY STORY. PEP (Philippines Entertainment Portal) personally congratulated Dra. Vicki Belo for the success of Belo Medical Group's Greenhills branch.
"Thank you," she replied. "We have nine branches. But this is already eight years old. We just had it renovated. It's not an opening, it's a re-opening."
The celebrity doctor also talked about other expansion plans for the beauty clinic.
