They woke up early. They walked in the drizzle.

And it's all in support of AVON's Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer campaign, which held its annual walk and race on October 9, 2011, at the SM Mall of Asia grounds.

The venue turned into pink, with tinges of green—thanks to the students of De La Salle University and the men and women of the Philippine Army who made time for the event.

And a multitude gave their kisses of support from various parts of the country—SM Naga, SM Lipa, Cabanatuan, Tacloban, and SM Davao.

STAR-STUDDED! Making the event even more colorful were Kapuso stars Rhian Ramos, who was chosen as this year's advocate, and Kapatid newbie Jasmine Curtis-Smith, who was tasked to spot the freshest face among the huge crowd.

The guys cheered at the sight of 2011 Miss Universe 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup, who responded with "Good morning! Ready na ba kayo?"

Dishing out a song to entertain the people was Francheska Farr, while hosting the brief program were Unang Hirit hosts Pia Arcangel, Love Añover, Lhar Santiago, Luane Dy, and Lyn Ching.

Also present were Mike Tan, Rocco Nacino, Bela Padilla, and Steph Henares.

Just before the unveiling of the "Race to 125,000 Kisses" banners, a rainbow came into view.

It was a fitting reminder and a promising ray of hope to all, especially those currently battling the Big C.

Because, indeed, after every rain, the sun will shine.
