Bella Flores, Joey de Leon and Yoyoy Villame—National Artist material?

A blogger posted his alternative list of National Artists in Spot.ph. Find out why he chose Joey de Leon, Paquito Diaz, Bella Flores, Juan dela Cruz band, among others.

Ang blogger at Radioactive Sago Project vocalist na si Lourd de Veyra ay lumikha ng kanyang sariling listahan ng longtime showbiz personalities na sa kanyang palagay ay dapat parangalan ng "National Artist" award.

Ang kaibahan ng kanyang listahan ay hindi ito umayon sa idinidikta ng tinatawag na "institutional fiat." Pinagtuunan din nito ang mga hindi gaanong napapansin ng  "high-brow" na award-giving bodies.

Ang tanging panuntunan ng kanyang listahan: "Artists who enjoy broad acceptance..."

Kasama sa kanyang listahan ang mga sumusunod:

JOEY DE LEON (Literature), na inilarawan ng Spot.ph blogger na "twisted genius."

PAQUITO DIAZ AND BELLA FLORES (Film), mga kilalang kontrabida sa pelikulang Pilipino. Ani Lourd, "Without Paquito, FPJ would have been impossible."

YOYOY VILLAME (Music), na nakalikha ng kanta tungkol kina Lapu-Lapu at Magellan.

    tama. sir JOEY DE LEON should be on the list. Kahit naman hindi top ok lang. His talents are so many that hindi mo yan makikita basta-basta sa isang tao lang. b u g o k lang ang nagsasabing hindi siya dapat kasama sa listahan. Include DOLPHY and his partners in crime before like the late BABALU and Panchito ALBA. Iba ang chemistry nung mga yun pag kasama nila c DOLPHY. Sana makagawa pa ulit ng movie si Dolphy and Bossing Vic.
