ABS-CBN actor Rafael Rosell was born and raised in Norway, but is a full-blooded Filipino. He hardly spoke Tagalog then, so when he arrived here in the Philippines in 2002 he took Tagalog lessons.

He was first recognized as one of the leading men of Jolina Magdangal in Star Cinema's Kung Ikaw ay Isang Panaginip (2002). Eventually, movie offers were up in line: Star Cinema's Pinay Pie, Dreamboy, When Love Begins, and In My Life. He was also cast in the award-winning movie Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'To.

Because of his talent in acting, a lot of TV offers came up as well—Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, Marina, Rounin, Prinsesa ng Banyera, Maligno, I Love Betty La Fea, Precious Hearts Romances Presents: The Bud Brothers, Midnight Phantom and Kristine series.

Currently he's playing the role of Bart Ramirez in 100 Days to Heaven.

In 2006, he was launched in ASAP as a member of an all-male group named Cover Boys with Victor Basa, Jon Avila, Jake Cuenca, and Zanjoe Marudo.

HIS DREAM ROLE. As an actor, Rafael still dreams of a role that would catch everyone's attention—portraying a psychopath.

"Pscyhopath... dahil bawat role na pinipili ko kasi iniisip ko muna kung may journey," Rafael shared with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the launch of E! Entertainment Television last July 5 at The Establishment in The Fort, Taguig City.

These days, Rafael is currently doing ABS-CBN's inspirational drama 100 Days to Heaven—top-billed in the No. 1 slot during primetime, based on Kantar Media-TNS. (CLICK HERE to related article)

Other than 100 Days, what else keeps the man busy?

"Ahm…there's one in line pero di ko pa puwedeng, wala pang details na puwedeng i-disclose doon," he answered.

"Pero baka sumabay siya sa 100 Days to Heaven pero di pa sure ito," he added.
