Young couple Jam Sebastian and Paoline Michelle Liggayu are probably one of the most popular users on YouTube right now.

In just one year, this couple popularly known as Jamich have already gained a fan base of 72,922 subscribers.

They also have a total of 29 million video views for the 56 videos they uploaded since May 30, 2011.

Jam and Michelle couldn’t believe that their personal video titled “By Chance” would earn them so much public attention.

“Ginawa po namin ‘yon parang for fun lang talaga, e, ‘yon lang. Walang script or anything,” said Jam in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the store opening of bubble tea shop called A Gantea at Greenbelt 2, Makati City last May 12.

Jamich initially uploaded the video about their love story on Facebook. After being persuaded by their families and friends, the couple decided to share “By Chance” to the public on You Tube.

“Una, in-upload namin sa Facebook para sa families and friends lang. Sabi nila, ‘Bakit hindi ninyo i-upload sa YouTube? Para mas maraming makakita,” recalled 26-year-old Jam.

The couple did not expect that on its first day, the video would have thousands of hits.

“Noong in-upload namin, parang first day nag-3,000 views,” Jam happily related to PEP.

“Gulat na gulat kami dahil konti lang ang friends namin sa Facebook, [nagtataka kami] kung saan galing ‘yong ibang views.

“After no’n, naging 8,000, tapos naging 50,000.”

Now, “By Chance” has 4,866,114 views since it was uploaded in June 2011.

BECOMING FAMOUS. Being YouTube sensations, Jam and Michelle are now getting more popular, especially with young audiences.

The couple already appeared on several shows, including Gandang Gabi Vice and Kris TV on ABS-CBN; and Cristy Ferminute on Aksyon TV.

Their popularity also brought them several endorsements that include clothing, toothpaste, and telecommunication brands.
