Adding another product to her pool of endorsements, Toni Gonzaga was officially introduced as the latest face (and figure) to represent Coke Zero last Wednesday, May 23.
In an afternoon cocktail event turned press conference at The Gallery, Greenbelt 5, the gangly and giggly Toni was a stunning sight in a simple but regal black jumpsuit, beige heels, and her charming self.
Coke Zero’s tagline— “Have it all”— is fitting for the one and only Toni Gonzaga who possesses skills in acting, hosting, singing, and pulling laugh-out-loud remarks in perfect comedic timing.
Later in an interview with the invited press, Toni described what the rest of the year will be like for her: a movie and a teleserye on the way, which still remains confidential until the projects officially materialize.
At the moment, Toni has plans of recording another album, a project she has not ventured into since 2010. Her last studio album, All Me, reached gold.
Upon the mention of producing her own show, Toni’s face lights up and she talks a bit about it.
“Yes! Kasi nung after nung concert ko, parang na-realize ko I got involved with the whole production, sabi ko parang it’s fun to work on something na you are fully a part of.
“I mean, you are not just an artist, people don’t just tell you what to do, but you are really one of the people who [have] a say... after all you, are the artist.”
“You have… a word or an input in the concept and the whole production so that’s something I would like to do this year.”
Will her boyfriend, director Paul Soriano, have a hand or perhaps direct the show himself? Toni amuses her interviewers, “Package deal?”
The idea is not necessary. Toni says, “If he gets to direct it then that’s good, but if not then okay din naman.”
RINGLESS FOR NOW. Not anytime this 2012 will marriage happen for Toni and Direk Paul. At least “not yet.”
Toni believes, “Darating tayo diyan… wala pa akong ring so hindi pa talaga.” The 28-year-old says that she is “still enjoying everything right now.”
The ABS-CBN talent and the Thelma director have been a couple for five years now. According to Toni, no formula assures the strength and length of a relationship.
“It’s a matter of how committed people are to each other. If one of them starts to give up or stops committing na, then, that’s when it ends.
