Guess who's the cover girl of FHM Philippines for the month of June?

The very pretty Kaye Abad, who's been known for portraying conservative roles.

Kaye admits to being a late bloomer in real life, so she was nervous during the shoot. “Isang oras lang ang tulog ko. Kinakabahan talaga kasi ako kasi hindi kasi ako magaling sa posing... [Pero] nung nakita ko naman yung mga pictures maganda naman siya,” she tells FHM.

The 30-year-old actress also reveals the reason she stepped back from the limelight at the peak of her career, and preferred a more laid-back life— which included being girlfriend (now ex) to Parokya Ni Edgar lead vocalist Chito Miranda.

“Sobrang ibang-iba kasi yung mundo nila. Walang halong kaplastikan, sobrang iba na lokohan. Yung walang pikon… It was something different and since I’ve been working so long, parang pahinga muna siguro ako. Na-miss ko yung, ‘Tara, labas tayo, wala akong gagawin today,” relates Kaye.

When Kaye returned to showbiz after a two-year hiatus, she became part of ABS-CBN teleseryes, like Super Inggo and Angelito.

“I’m grateful that I’m not a breadwinner who is obligated to work. Kaya nagpapasalamat rin naman ako kasi nakabalik din ako kaagad, kasi sa panahon ngayon, ang dami-dami nang artista. Umalis ka lang ng ilang buwan, mahihirapan ka nang makabalik,” she says.

Kaye will star again in the sequel of Angelito, which airs this June.

“It’s still the same, mahal na mahal ko pa rin [dito] si Angelito. Walang sawang pagmamahal at pagtitiyaga. Maraming twists... exciting also because there are a lot of new characters,” she shares during the interview.

The June issue of FHM also serves as the curtain raiser for the release of its highly-anticipated 100 Sexiest Women in the World issue next month.
