Despite her hectic schedule, Jean Garcia doesn't find her profession tiring at all. "I love my job," she says.

Longevity in show business, according to Jean Garcia, is all about loving your craft.

She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on a recent visit to her taping for One True Love, "Kailangan kasi, mahal mo talaga. Hindi ka tatagal sa ganitong business if hindi mo mahal."

If all you have going for you is commitment, that's not enough. Your commitment, she says, has to go with "yung passion, yung love, and professionalism."

She elaborates on the principles she lives by as a star. There's more to having a name in showbiz. Her staying power comes from having the right attitude about work and  maintaining rapport with everyone on the job.

"Hindi porke't may pangalan ka na, sikat ka na. You will take for granted yung oras sa trabaho, yun pakikisama sa katrabaho mo.

"Yun pakikisama sa crew, sa mga kapwa mong artista, at yun magandang attitude, very important. Parte yun para maging successful ka at tumagal ka sa business."

PRIVATE JEAN. Off-cam, she enjoys watching movies.

"'Yan hindi mawawala sa akin, sa sinehan talaga ha."

And whenever she's busy, Jean relies on DVDs. The Kapuso actress is a big fan of Hollywood films.

Of late, another thing she enjoys is Personalan, a nightly show airing on GMA NewsTV.

"Kakaiba siya, kaya ko siya tinanggap," she declares several times.

It's her way of creating emotional connection with people she barely knows.

"Pag umpisa ng show, problema humaharap sa iyo. Pero at the end of the day, pag na-resolve mo kahit konti yun problema ng taong involved, masarap ang feeling."

So far, the show has tried to live up to its mantra of providing "ang unang hakbang" or the first step in conflict resolution.

As a host, she says, "hindi ka puwede kumampi, hindi puwede maging judgmental, lahat naman sila may point. Dapat fair ka lang."

What she also appreciates about the show is its commitment to stay away from physical violence in any conflict.

"Yun iniiwasan mo... magkaroon ng physical na sakitan. Gusto ko yun ganoong konsepto na kahit galit kayo sa isa't isa, walang sakitan."
