When a celebrity often plays a kontrabida role, people usually think that they have the same attitude in real life.

Michelle Vito disagrees and says she’s the exact opposite of the character she portrays in Aryana.

In a short chat with the 14-year-old mestiza actress at the thanksgiving press conference prepared for the show last Saturday, June 16, she described herself when off camera.

“Actually, sobrang kulit ko po talaga,” she told the media.

“Kapag nakilala n’yo po talaga ako, sobrang makulit ako, malakas ‘yong boses, laging tumatawa.

“Hindi po talaga ako sumisimangot. Gusto ko lang po talaga palaging nakangiti.”

So, how does she transform into a mean girl when the camera starts rolling?

“Minsan parang may pinanghuhugutan din,” she replied.

The young actress takes her past experiences as motivation to portray the character of Megan Mendez, the antagonist to Ellen Cruz’s character.

“Siyempre, kasi parang hindi rin natin maiiwasan na minsan nagagalit tayo o naiinis, may nakakaaway, so doon ko na lang po nilalabas.

“Kasi, hindi naman po ako masyadong lumalaban kapag may nakikipag-away sa akin. Parang palagi na lang po akong umiiyak.

“Pero kapag naro-roll na po, parang doon ko na lang po nilalabas.”

LEADER OF THE GANG. Playing kontrabida is not the first time for Michelle. She had the same type of character in her previous TV projects on GMA-7:   Tween Hearts (2010), Basahang Ginto (2010), First Time (2010) and Nita Negrita (2011).

But Megan is extra special because this time, Michelle acts as the leader of a group of mean girls.

She related, “Since po dati, ‘yon na po talaga ‘yong role na ginagawa ko. Pero po ngayon iba kasi ‘yong [kontrabida].
