Eula Valdes refuses to join the Twitter bandwagon. She'd rather avoid unnecessary stress from bashers on the Internet.

Although more celebrities have already joined the said microblogging site, the actress is still not convinced to fully open her life to the public via the Internet.

In a recent poll on PEP, we asked the PEPsters if celebrities should join social media sites. More than half of the voters chose “Hindi. Maraming cyber bullies sa Internet.”

This is what exactly what Eula thought when she decided not to sign up with  Twitter. For Eula, this is one way to get away from being a target of intrigues.

“Kasi hindi ko kaya ‘yong mga ganyan, ‘yong merong bina-badmouth ka nang hindi mo kaharap.

“Hindi mo puwedeng i-defend ‘yong sarili mo kasi hindi mo siya nakikita. Hindi ko kaya ‘yon,” Eula reasoned out in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other media after the press launch of her product endorsement Myra-E held recently.

By not getting into Twitter or any social networking site, Eula said, “Hindi mo na bibigyan ng chance ‘yong ibang tao.

“Minsan kapag ‘available’ ka, nakikita nila, tapos sasabihin nila na hindi ka nila gusto. So, parang binigyan mo sila ng chance na i-invade ka, na maapektuhan ka.

“So ako, para wala na lang gano’n, wala na lang Twitter.”

Eula is one of the celebrities who chose not join any social media site despite the growing number users. Fellow actresses Judy Ann Santos and Marian Rivera do not have social media accounts either, for the same reason as Eula's.

“GUSTO KO LANG MASAYA.” Having less stress may also be one of the reasons Eula looked a-blooming when she and other Myra-E endorsers, Iza Calzado and Jessy Mendiola, faced the media after the product launch.

The 44-year-old actress said she really is a “happy person.”

How does Eula do it? She said she does not think about her problems too much.

She related, “Kahit na sabihin nating may malaking-malaking problema, hindi mawawala ‘yan, e, so bakit mo pa poproblemahin?

“Kapag hindi ko kayang solusyunan, sa sarili ko, na ako lang, pinapasa-Diyos ko at sasabihin ko talaga na, ‘Hindi ko kaya. Ikaw na ang gumawa nito.’
