Ara Mina’s summer will officially start this coming weekend.

Unlike most stars that opted to travel during the Holy Week, the actress just stayed at home, where all she did was “nagluto ako nang nagluto.”

But come Sunday, she is going out of town with her family.

At the opening of Goodah’s Eastwood City Walk 2 branch earlier, April 11, she told the press, “In-invite [ko] yung mga kapatid ko.

"Ano kami, summer [outing] lang kami, out of town. Yung parang spend together kasi may kanya-kanya na silang pamilya, e.”

Her sister Cristine Reyes, however, will not be joining the trip.

“Di siya nakikipag-connect, yun lang,” she simply said.

Making an effort to evade the issue, she added, “Siyempre busy, I understand.

“Hindi, kasi may ASAP siya, busy sa taping niya, so hindi na ako nagtatangkang mag-invite.”

While she was talking, the reporters sensed she was trying to insinuate something.

Startalk’s Gorgy Rulla asked, “Kumusta ba kayong dalawa?”

Her brief reply: “Hindi kami nagkikita ni Cristine.”

When asked to elaborate, Ara said meaningfully, “Well ako naman, naiintindihan ko kung wala siyang time sa family kasi ano, e, napagdaanan ko rin iyan.

“Oo, strike while the iron is hot.

“Not all the time you’re there, di ba.”
