Comedy concert queen Ai-Ai delas Alas, shown here in an attention-grabbing Maxi Cinco gown, conquered the U.S. when she brought her road show to four major destinations—Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Hawaii. In the course of the three-week work-and-pleasure trip (from April 25 to May 13), it seems she also conquered the heart of an American businessman named Art Carter. He followed her to Hawaii, and eventually to the Philippines, to win her heart.
