Lovebirds Derek Ramsay and Angelica Panganiban posed for a photo at Chapman's Peak, Cape Town, South Africa. The Chapman's Peak drive is a nine-kilometer route that offers an astonishing 180-degree view of the Atlantic Coast. The couple spent a month in South Africa back in 2010 to savor the sights and sounds of the country!

Spunky couple Angelica Panganiban and Derek Ramsay had another adventure when they went to South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which ran from June 11 to July 11, 2010.

They left Manila on June 6 and came back home on July 1.

During their month-long vacation, they and their Filipino friends and traveling companions stayed in Cape Town, South Africa's fabulous and second most populous city.

The 2010 World Cup was the 19th edition of the world championship for men's national association football teams, all members of FIFA, or Fédération Internationale de Football Association (International Federation of Association Football). The international competition is held every four years.

"Matagal na talaga naming balak," Angelica tells YES! "No'ng nagkakilala kasi kami, four years ago pa, sinabi na niya sa akin 'yon, na manonood nga daw sila ng World Cup, kasama 'yong best friend niya. Sabi niya, 'Tara, sama ka.' Pero as barkada pa no'n. Hanggang sa buong four years namin, napag-uusapan namin 'yon, kung tuloy o hindi. So two years before World Cup, no'ng 2008, pina-block-off na namin 'yong buong June-to-July work schedule namin."

The entire plane trip from Manila to Cape Town took all of 25 hours, including the stopovers in Hong Kong and Johannesburg.

Aside from the World Cup, the highlights of the South African trip included a safari, diving with the great white sharks, and skydiving.

Together, Angelica and Derek have traveled all over the Philippines and have been to Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, South Korea, and China. But Angelica singles out this trip to South Africa for bringing her and Derek closer.

"Ito ang pinakamahabang trip at saka out of Asia," she says. "Ngayon lang kami lumabas. Ang dami kong nalaman tungkol sa kanya. Pag mainit pala ang ulo niya, hindi siya dapat seryosohin. Sandali lang 'yon. Kasi, usually, pag magkasama kami at umiinit ang ulo niya, sobra na akong nade-depress. Dati kasi, hindi ko pa alam tantiyahin. Dapat hindi ko lang siya pinapansin. 'Bahala ka sa buhay mo!'"
