Real estate executive and model Divine Lee does not want to be branded a socialite.

Asked what she thought of this public perception of her, she quipped: "Tsismis lang 'yon girl. Tsismis 'yon."

The daughter of a local real estate developer is more visible in public, usually as a guest or host of different events.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) caught up with Divine when she hosted the media launch of vitamin drink, Smart C+ at Arts in the City, in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

She pointed out that the event would help promote her upcoming show on TV5, the local adaptation of American reality show Extreme Makeover.

She also mentioned her boyfriend, model-actor Victor Basa. "He gets invited din. Sino pa ang date niya?"

The young businesswoman has also opened her personal blog to the public — her way of reaching out to her "fierce" followers.

"I think, that's the reason I opened up my blog, divinemlee.com, because na-stereotype ako.

"I don't think that's true [being branded a socialite].

"Parang ako nga 'yong pinaka-jologs na nakita kong tao. I don't know, na-stereotype [lang ako].

"So, by opening my blog, I was able to show people who I really am.

"I'm still the same person. It's just that na-stereotype ako. So, ngayon, nakikita nila 'yong totoong Divine.

"I'M A BECKY."  Divine considers herself more of a "becky" than a socialite.

According to Spot.ph's "Badafinitions: The hottest words in gay lingo (Part 2)," the word becky refers to gays.

This is apparent in her personal blog and her accounts in different social networking sites. She usually responds to her fans' queries in gay lingo.
