Controversial comedian-host Willie Revillame posted a P12, 000-bail for his temporary freedom in connection with the domestic abuse charge filed against him by estranged wife, Floralice "Liz" Almoro.

The Wowowee host personally appeared yesterday, July 17, before Judge Elsa de Guzman of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 89, and posted bail to put off the court's arrest order.

It was already reported last Monday, July 16, that Willie will preempt the issued arrest order by posting bail immediately.

Willie is charged with allegedly violating Republic Act 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004.

In Liz Almoro's sworn statement, she accused Willie of verbally abusing her and subjecting her to humiliation, aside from engaging in "dirty sexual affairs" as she called it. Liz also mentioned two instances that transpired in May 2006 wherein her then-husband attempted to hit her with a chair and hurled a remote control at her.

All the accusations were vehemently denied by Willie, arguing that Liz's temper and malicious invectives made it impossible for him to fulfill his duties as father to their son, Juamee.

This is not the first time that the popular host has been dragged into  controversy; Willie is known for his alleged ways when it comes to women.

Willie and Liz were first wed in civil rites at Lipa City, Batangas, in March 2005, with former Mayor and now Batangas Governor Vilma Santos officiating. Then, on June 7, 2005, the two were wed again in a lavish church ceremony at the Santuario de San Antonio.
